As a compromise between his different levels of social status, Jamal should wear a kaftan. In reality, he mostly wears head-wraps, a loose tunic, and comfortable trousers. While not allowed to wear any formal symbols of his House, he usually has an embroidered version of its crest.
While, for political reasons, Jamal isn't something talked about much, he still lives in the Jewel Palace and is taken care of by those working there. He will live his life with a small pension, traditionally given to bastards as payment as to not draw attention to themselves. With his mother being known for her cunning and ability to think outside the box, and his likely father being one of both spiritual and physical prowess, it's not difficult to see why the boy is always more keen to explore than to dwell on things. He is always questioning and finding creative ways around anything in his way.
