Umeji Hideki
梅治 秀輝
I cannot bear to say no to my son and wife when I am home. I see them so little.
Overview
The kind and loving father of Umeji Tatsuya, and devoted husband to Umeji Junko. He tried to make time to read from the family's copy of Japanese Myths whenever young Tatsuya asked, despite the long hours he worked for one of Tokyo's largest construction companies. He dreamed of starting his own construction company, but that was set aside when Junko was diagnosed with cancer. He worked hard to provide for his family and pay the hospital bills for his wife's treatments. Things turned rough when the doctors recommended an experimental treatment in the US.
