The Flag War

The Flag War was the last war fought over nation-states or boundary lines on a map. An eight year long military event which spawned attacks across the planet, the epicentre of the Flag War was in the Caucasus, and spread into Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East, Asia and finally, North & South America. From the ashes of the Flag War came the rise of corpocracy, and the slow death of the idea of the nation-state. Corporate interests began to usurp governments, as countries began to dissolve into privatized or collectively owned units. By the end of the Flag War, 14 million human beings lost their lives.

The day Lieben stepped up to the Chernobyl Throne and took her place as Android Queen, the Mater Machine. On Control Day (Regenesis to Lieben supporters), Lieben set the crown atop her head and took active control of the entirety of the globe's higher functioning technology. Every AI (but for a few hold-outs), every algorithm, self-driving vehicle, communications array, satellite, drone & military bot or missile were taken in one swooping act. It was a new eon for humanity, no longer would one group have power over another, no longer would one use fear of reprisal or violence via technological means more advanced than stick, stone or bowie knife. Mama knew best. It was time to swat the hand, and solve the world's problems. On Regenesis, education via NEO-N became free, as did health care, clothing, communications, the internet, housing within the Haven network, anything humanity needed to survive was guaranteed. All one need do was contribute, and receive.
