Põhjollan Sleigh

Through Snow and Over Ice

We can cross the distance on our Põhjollans. I'm sure the dogs should be ready and eager to move out as soon as the weather clears up a bit.
— Kaisa Kaskkenan

The Põhjollan sleigh is a common land vehicle used by the Saralian during winter. It can be used one or two people at the same time. The sleigh is pulled by dogs and occasionally Rustilian horses. Extra pieces can be added to the back of the sleigh, allowing for the transportation of more goods. If the cargo is too heavy for one dog to handle, then an extra dog or two will do the trick.

History

The Põhjollan has been around since the before the Saralian people settled down next to the Great Lakes. Historians believe that they were used for both transportation and warfare. As they settled down and the ways of waging war evolved, the Põhjollan sleigh stopped being relevant for battles. They are still used to a degree for transporting weapons and other important cargo, but men no longer take them to battle.
