Marítir, the Bearer of Burdens, is the youngest child of the Lady of Life, Heláia, according to the Pantheon of the Dawn. He was made from smoke and iron to become the god of labour and peace following his mother’s creation of the geprati. Marítir posses within him the core characteristics of the panedur and serves as the quiet caretaker for the species, granting them the advanced firepower that protects panedur settlements from harm. There are very few communities of panedur who follow the pantheon, so Marítir is primarily worshipped by hard-working alchen labourers.

Although the evidence is scant, ancient tales from before the alchen migration to Lethea make note of a god who cared for the labourers and hard work. Once the alcheni had first met the panedur in the 13rd century BA, connections between the newly encountered species and their old god had become clear. Followers of the pantheon believe that Marítir is also responsible for the creation of many of the strange structures that are scattered throughout the world, such as the numerous bunkers.

Religious labourers from all across the alchen realms give praise to Marítir and ask for his strength when doing hard work. His followers are common everywhere where diligent workers are in high demand.
Marítir’s followers are highly regarded as calm, professional, and diligent folk who never shy away from a job that needs doing, unless their prospective employer disrespects them by undervaluing their work or if they seem abusive. Not only does the cult support its own members in the fight for fair pay and work conditions, they also seek those they suspect are being belittled, offering them a hand in the fight for fairness.
