Amulet of Haliere

The Prison of a Chained God

So, you've finally done it then? The essence of a god, trapped at last, bound to my will. You have proven your worth, young man. A bright future awaits you, I am sure of it.
— Malar Anlege, Lord Protector of Cehvox to his priest, the man who would become the Invader
The Amulet of Haliere is a powerful artefact that was forged before the start of the Invasion somewhere in the Realm of the Cehvoxliers. During its creation, it was imbued with the spirit of a god, making so that the wearer of the amulet would gain extraordinary advantages, essentially granting them immortality and providing them with the ability to affect minds. This amulet is believed to have been the key behind the Invader's success. After he had finished it for his lord, Malar Anlege, he murdered the man instead of handing the powerful artefact over.

The Invasion of Lethea

With the power of the Amulet of Haliere, the Invader took over Cehvox and began assembling an army for his glorious conquest of Lethea. Its abilities allowed him to influence the minds of his enemies, further accelerating the progress of his invasion. The free peoples of Lethea were vaguely aware of the amulet, but none of them fully understood its potential. Eventually, however, the Invader was defeated. With the Ascension of Hillen and the explosion at Athe, the remains of the Invader and his mighty artefact were lost.   Over the following centuries, knowledge of the item faded from memory, confined only to pages of ancient scrolls and their words of wisdom. There are some scholars that have dedicated their lives to figuring out the amulet, whether by trying to recreate such an item, uncovering its true properties, or by trying to figure out its ultimate resting place.
