Beauregard Horvasse

Beauregard Horvasse (a.k.a. Beau)

Beauregard Horvasse, a winged angel, Fell in the autumn of 1946, directly into the Thames in London. He drowned several times before he was pulled onto a magical boat who had seen the flash of light as he'd passed between dimensions, and was brought for immediate attention to a nearby emergency hospital.   Unfortunately, when reaching the emergency room, his medical notes became muddled with a human's who'd been brought in at the same time. Humans can die: angels, with rare exceptions, don't, and will typically be able to regain themselves after an appearance of death given a few minutes to recover. When Beau appeared to have stopped breathing with his heart having stopped, a magical defibrillator was used to restart his heart, sending a powerful magical current through his body at the same time he was already to regain consciousness again.   This has resulted in not insignificant nerve damage, meaning that Beau sometimes struggles with performing the same motion for periods of time, and is incapable of sitting completely still, and will begin to tremor if he tries to freeze completely.   Beau is extremely sensitive to touch on almost all of his body, and cannot stand light or ticklish touches, although from trusted individuals he can withstand limited firm touches to his shoulders or back, and short, tight hugs. He can withstand very little touch to his wings, although he likes to have his hair touched.    One of the doctors responsible for his care contacted an angel in his social circle, Edmund Horvasse, as they were struggling to contact the Embassy, and in the absence of any other volunteer, Horvasse took Beau in, and for many years Beau lived with him and worked in his office. When Horvasse was pressured to retire from his position as Department Head of Demonology at the Royal Institute of Applied Magical Study, Beau was permitted to stay on in the university library, but was pressured to leave himself a few years later.   After Beau took up another position as porter at the Chelsea Magical Hospital, he began a relationship with Doctor Jackson Fortescue, a student when Beau started his position. Over the next few years, as Beau was further and further involved with Doctor Fortescue, and Fortescue used Beau as the basis for several underground medical experiments into angelic heath and bodily response, Beau became further isolated from Horvasse before eventually becoming estranged.   Beau broke off his connection with Fortescue in the late 00s, and when Fortescue continued to stalk and obsess over him, Beau moved from London to Bristol, where he now lives.   Beau works at the The Bayett Inn as a porter, and regularly visits Toothsome Delights, where he has a regular appointment with Germain Wagner-Jeanneret.
