Weapons Master Farcan Elfir

Peels of hammer on anvil ring throughout the back of a small shop, an elf man, blackened from the fire, bent over his work, hammering an unyielding bar of steel in the shape of a longsword. A younger man sits in the corner, waiting for his chance at the forge, his fur-lined armor thrown haphazardly over a chest in the far corner. The blackened elf looks up, nodding his head before handing his tools to the man that in another life could be his apprentice, but for now, was just a friend. The young elf takes over, hammering the steel in shape while the old one wipes his hands on his worn leather apron before stepping into the front of the shop to sell his wares.
Farcan Elfir is one of the weapons masters in Yllvalion, the man assisting him, the other. The older elf, while not a paladin of the Knights of Yggdrasil, serves the order by helping train those that are not paladins and creating weapons for everyone that he can. Farcan leaves the training of the paladins to his friend, Vaalyun Ylyndar, a man who has been learning the trade from the old elf for decades. The two work in tandem, training those in the order and creating weapons when they can, learning from each other and helping when needed.
In his younger days, Farcan served as part of the Knights, often standing together with Elduin Ylyndar and Faelyn Lightfoot during missions and on the battlefield. He was not a paladin like the others, but trained as a weapons master and blacksmith from a young age. It is said that the older elf is the only one in The Northern Outposts that can best Vaalyun with any weapon, showing that his age is but a number.
Much like his old friend Faelyn, he retired from the Knights, taking his place in the city of Yllvalion and opening a shop to aid the Knights and the citizens of the city. Farcan's Weapons is known throughout the northern reaches of the Elven Forest for its exceptional weapons and equipment. The weapons are made by Farcan and Vaalyun for all to use, but only if the older man deems you fit for one of his weapons.
