Titan Runes Language in The Hefflings | World Anvil

Titan Runes

Many Kalruuthian believe that long ago, when the world was one, Titans ruled the lands. Much like the people of the world, Titans had a language which they spoke and written. This ancient language was almost forgotten since the Great Split, when the world scattered across the Cosmic Sea, if it were not for the carved runes on the stones surrouding the Heart in the Kalruuth's Heart Temple.

As mentioned these runes are carved in various places on stones which now decorate Duun'Kalruuth. Most of the Runes are translated by many of the Kalruuthian Scholars, however there are still plenty to discover. In fact it is believed that there are missing runes which may explain some discrepencies in the translation. However, many also argue that perhaps the runes are misinterpeted, though many Scholars and Archeologies seek for the missing Runes.

Kalruuthian Language

Kalruuthians speak and write in a language that is said to have evolved from the Titan's language which the runes transcribe. Linguists claim there were sounds which Titans made that people of the world nowadays are unable to say. This could also give more incentive to Archeologists to find the missing Runes, as they could have the answers the Kalruuthian Scholars are looking for.

Kalruuthians are a proud society who live within the Kalruuth Mountains, in the mountainhome of Duun'Kalruuth. In the centre of the mountainhome is Kalruuth's Heart and it is the core of every Kalruuthian.   Read more about Kalruuthians, here.

The mountainhome of Kalruuthians, an ancient Dwarvenkind settlement within the Kalruuth Mountains. It is the only mountainhome which is fully submerged in a mountain.
