Necromancy is the manipulation of death by magical means. This includes, but exclusive to, magic effects which can raise the dead, summon Entopic Beings and using Entropy as the source of one's magical ability. Since the dawn of time, this practice has always been feared by many. Therefore many civilisations which have grown through the centuries have made this practice of magic illegal.

Death Magic

Entropy is the power of death, destruction and decay. A Necromancer can tap into this dark energy to manipluate the cycle of life and death. This manipulation is commonly known as Death Magic.
Even though being a Necromancer is illegal in many places, it does not mean there are none who still practice with the dark arcane powers. Taria's Order is one of the key organizations who are constantly working to find and apprihend these illicit mages.

Raising the Dead

Necromancers are mostly renown for their aim and often ability to raise the dead. There was once a great Necromancer who is known as The Unliving Mage, which many people often tell tales of. It is said, this Necromancer, who nobody knows their true name of, was able to raise a whole cemetary of undead. The Unliving Mage raised over one million zombies, ghouls and skeletons; all of which Taria's Order defeated in the War of Nightmares.
