The Caspians
Dragons of Caspid

The Caspians are the dragon inhabitants of Caspid, an island in the Grey Waters in northern Caia. They were once part of the nation of the Pid Isles, along with other groups of dragons, but since one of the other islands bowed to Serukis, they have become staunchly isolationist.
Most Caspians live on the south side of the island, where they are sheltered from the worst of the Grey Waters' storms by coastal hills. They are a self-sufficient people, making use of the arable land year round through crop rotation and sheltered gardens. Some Caspians brave the storm-battered northern half of the island, making their homes there as a show of strength and defiance against the power of nature.
What is the latitude where they live? Do they have multiple growing seasons naturally, or have they had to work for it with greenhouses and other strategies?
They are relatively north, but I was thinking they had selectively bred some hardy winter vegetables over the years. There are probably some strategies involved, too.
