Lord's Rock

The seat of High Lord Elenasia

This article is a stub. Please comment if you would like it to become a priority for expansion.
Lord's Rock is a large city in Serukis, located along the coast from the mouth of the Lordsrush river. It is where the the Elenasia family have their castle and their traditional seat of power. It is one of the largest cities in Serukis, with a population of around two hundred thousand people.   The city hugs the waters of a calm bay that is used as a natural harbour, with two towers guarding the entrance and a large chain that can be pulled up to protect the city from attacks from the sea. The castle is built into a hillside, and the rest of the city is tiered and cut into the hills as well. The poorer parts of the city are lower down, closer to the water, whereas the more wealthy parts of the city are higher up.
When they had travelled up to the castle from the dockside, the guards escorting them kept them a healthy distance from the lower city, which was clustered on the water’s edge. There, on both sides of the inlet, the buildings spilled out onto the water like stains, balancing on stilts and forming makeshift docks.

What happened in 4463 EA. that made it suited to be the capital

That was when the unification of Serukis happened, when the royal family was established. King's Rock is in a better position geographically to be a hub of cultural power than the old capital city, now known as Oldcastle. Obviously, it wasn't always known as King's Rock. Definitely there is so much to expand on with this stub, it's such an important place with a lot of history. :)
