Larinsa is an isolated island in the Grey Waters to the south of Achia. On first glance, it appears to be completely surrounded by high cliffs, but these unwelcoming rock faces hide a hidden sea cave that leads to a sheltered port. Most of the island is on a high elevation due to the cliffs, but towards the centre it slopes down to almost below sea level, forming a great lake.
Despite the hostile appearance of their island, the Larinese are a welcoming, friendly people, who often fly out or launch their boats to meet passing ships. The Larinese are shapeshifters, able to transform into rock gulls. That same species of gull can often be seen nesting comfortably on the sheer cliff faces.
