The Writings of Tzuljin the Wanderer

Tzuljin was one of the first individuals who sought to map the Everforest in its entirety. She mapped eastern reaches of the forest, and sections of the ranges shielding central and southern Anatoia from the forest. While some of her journals have been preserved, a number of them have disappeared throughout the ages, much link Tzuljin and her party disappeared when they publicly proclaimed their first expedition into the forest's depths. The writings are valuable items to scholars, who seek a deeper understanding of the Everforest, and collectors, who seek to own curios. Much of the writings are reportedly mundane accounts of day-to-day minutiae.   There are a total of eighteen known volumes of Tzuljin's writings. The majority are accounted for, but every few decades, another volume goes missing. Scholars and law enforcers have attempted to identify patterns to this phenomenon, but have thus far been unsuccessful. Those who tend toward mysticism suggest that the writings hold some great spell, or the steps of a ritual. There are rumours of volumes nineteen and beyond, or that volume nineteen is still being written to this day, more than two centuries after Tzuljin was last seen.

Where Are They Now?

Volumes 2, 3, 5-7 and 9-11 are kept safely in the palace of the Vralach Tsar. Volumes 12, 16 and 17 are in the possession of Imperial aristocrats. The remaining volumes are reportedly in Karthain's Sable Tower.

Possible Explanations
Tzuljin's journals are renowned as one of the few accounts of the Everforest's geography. The continued disappearance of these journals has been a talking point of traveling peddlers for centuries. Mundane explanations for the disappearance of journals include theft, a simple case of misplacement, conspiracy or accident. The more fantastical theories include curses, malevolent spirits of the Everforest reclaiming forbidden knowledge, or Tzuljin's shade doing the same. Vralach officials have publicly announced the theft of Volumes 1, 4, 8 and 12. The Plemya Lesnik once held volumes 1 through 8, but was forced to turn them over to the nation of Vralach some two centuries ago.
