The insect of unusual size bursts from the solid ground in a flurry of earth and chaos. The only warning was a tremor and the very faint rumbling chitter of something unknown. As the giant, eight legged chittonous monster rights itself, it becomes clear nothing would've sufficed to begin with.
Somehow less annoying, but just as persistent, as Odorous Ants.

Prone Vulnerability :
~0.0
Despite being a fairly sturdy entity, the Ankhrav automatically flips to it's back while it's prone, revealing it's weak underbelly. While Prone, all physical damage, Melee attacks, or damage dealt within 5 ft deal damage as if it were Vulnerable.
Close Combat :
~1.0
If a creature is Grappled with this one, this creature has advantage on attacks made against the creature it is grappling with. As a trade off, this creature can only attack it's grappled target.
Attacks | ◈ per, up to 2 a turn
The Ankhrav Worker will attack whatever enemy is closest to it, uncaring of the consequence. It will switch targets if it's queen, colony, or quarry is endangered. As per Close Combat, the Ankhrav worker can only attack it's grappled target.
Mandible Bite | ◈ | Melee Weapon Attack, +5 reach |
+4 to hit | Hit: 9 (
1d10+3 ) Piercing damage. Creature attacked must pass a Reflex Save vs DC 14 ( or 10 + proficiency + STR). On failure, target gains the
Grappled condition. See 'Close Combat'.
Slag Spray :
~1 | ◈◈ | Targets Reflex, can only be done if not grappling.
As long as the Ankhrav is not grappling with a creature, it may fire a line of corrosive slag. The line is 5 ft thick and 30 ft long, and all creatures in that range must make a Reflex saving throw vs DC 13 (or 10 + Proficiency + CON). On failure, creatures take 3d6 Acid damage. On success and critical success, the damage is halved or entirely negated, respectively.
The Ankhrav Worker is a simple creature that is often tasked with keeping up with the goings on of it's colonies. It's dependancy makes it a poor choice for a companion, and it's knack for traveling of groups of
1d4 make it impossible to isolate. Ankhrav Workers, once provoked, will fight to the death with single minded resolve.
