Breck's Focus

It's a curious little thing, don't you think. I wonder what it means.

The pocket world of Breck's Haven was created by the great magician Breck around several thousands years ago to protect other magic users both from themselves and from nonmagical humans. He supposedly died 4800 years ago at the age of 233 years. His Focus is displayed in Breckskeep, the building used for Breck's Academy of Magic.
The Hall where the Focus is on display is not usually open to the public, however, during the second day of the Moon Dragon festival every year, the hall is open to invited people. To get an invitation you have to either know a person working at the school, a student or somebody at The Court.

Construction

Breck's Focus is a cylinder seal engraved with lines and a dragon. It's a strange item to use as a focus, but wizards have said that it is a focus and that the essence residue is supposedly Breck's.
The seal has a hole running through it so it could be worn on a necklace. It did not have one when it was found though.
It is made out of a material that nobody has been able to identify. It is similar to Obsidian but not as brittle, it also contains essence a lot better.

Displayed

The Focus was found by The Court's Warden force in a private collection 20 years ago. After that it was displayed in Brecksgard's central museum, but it got stolen and returned twice around 5 years ago. The Focus got moved to Breckskeep where it has now been sitting undisturbed for 1 year. It has secret protections that The Court hope means that the Focus will be left alone.
