Role of Christmas Food as Energy for Santa's Elves - Mrs. Claus
(Mrs. Claus leaves the palace. She is driven to the Institute of Merriness Studies. She walks in to Elfin students. Her special guest talk is about special food as energy.)
Merry Christmas, students!
It is at Santa's request that I teach you about the effect of Christmas foods on the bodies and metabolism of Christmas Elves. You are getting older and are now old enough to learn about secrets of your own bodies. Without the magic of years past, the making of toys and the organizing of letters is hard work.
Besides the longevity of your lives, you are able to eat candy and sugar foods as your bodies convert that food into energy making you work faster at whatever job you will get. It does apply to many candies and sugary foods but time has taught us that candy canes, peppermint, any cookies, figgy pudding, gingerbread, fruitcake, and hot chocolate and eggnog are the best things to eat if you need to complete tasks quickly. The only requirement is that you must eat healthy as well. Your bodies cannot live on sugar alone. And if Santa tries to convince you otherwise, he is wrong.
I wasn't Santa's Wife when it was discovered but I learned about it after I was. This was before the city even existed.
Child: Were you living in the compound after being married to Santa?
Mrs. C: We actually got married by the compound and yes.
Now, your metabolism (that thing inside you that transforms food into energy and vitamins and minerals to keep you healthy) allows this and doesn't exist for Humans. Santa and I cannot do it. He has to eat lots to have energy for Christmas Eve. But that's not the same thing. Are there any questions?
(Seeing no questions, she rises up and says goodbye. Mrs. Claus then walks outside to a waiting sleigh.)
