Session 54: Return to Alnerwick
General Summary
Upon arriving back in the city, the party finds pure chaos. They make their way to the Quiet Moon, where Alynys is rushed up stairs with Zulo folloiwng. The others wait down stairs for around an hour before being sent to check on Stein who has also fallen unconscious. Upon arriving at Steins manor, the party splits up. Hades and Meltrin find Stein on the roof unconscious, and are able to bring him far enough down stairs that his personal guards are able to assist and get him to the Quiet Moon. River and Quzal look around his basement lab, and River gets' lost down a hallway. A short while later Meltrin and Hades head down in search of her, and Meltrin discoveres a vehical, that the three of them take down a long corridoor to find River. Not being able to turn the vehical around the four discover a large metal beast, and while Meltrin refills the petrol needed fot make the vehical run, River is able to find a manual to the large metal beast.
Once they arrive back at the Quiet Moon, the party checks on Alynys. It is here that they detail to Mael what transpired down in the temple with the droid. Mael says that tomorrow they will stand as united as possible with the council to help assure the town that everything will be alright. Alnerwick comes first, then they will figure out Magic. Meltrin heads off to offer a bit of relief to the snipers, Quzal helps in the kitchen, and River helps dish out food. Hades suffering from a bit of a mental break the entire time, ends up down in the tavern, when Harmony arrives. Harmony and Hades have a heart to heart and talk the posibility of Zulo marrying them. Hades recieved a strange message from Forfall, saying that that Abraxas' brother is okay, and that this is a peace offering. Quzal and River decide to not wait to be married since the world is ending, and River asks Magnus to marry them the next day.
A town's meeting is had the following day where the Heist family stands united with the exception of the unconscious individuals, as does the Fenquen Family. The town is assured that they will be alright and together they can make it through this. Finally an update is recieved about the city that fell, Nimbus, and it's revealed that 8K have perished in it's crashing. Engineers are working on getting the city back up and several are enroute to Alnerwick to help the city with technology.
Session Report
Pure chaos around the city. smoke. Everyone ushered to the Quiet Moon. All unconscious taken upstairs. Meltrin asks if there's anything he can do to help. Zulo follows Alynys up stairs.
Luna runs in looking frantic. River, Quzal, Hades and Meltrin are asked to help go pickup Frank Stein who is also unconscious. Quzal asks why Luna can't carry him herself. People look at Quzal like he's being very inconsiderate.
Party arrives at Steins.
Meltrin and Hades head upstairs while Quzal and River head downstairs. Meltrin and Hades come to the second floor with another set of stairs going up with a door at the top. 4 bedrooms on the second floor. One seems to be used more, lots of book around the room, one on the desk open. Another room that seems used more often then not. A younger individual seems to be using it. Other two rooms aren't being used very often. There is a wahsroom on the second floor. Head up the last flight of stairs. Stein is face first on the roof. Hades has a bit of a break down and is currently cackling next to an unconscious Stein. Hades and Meltrin are able to get Stein down stairs, Meltrin asks the guards for help.
River and Quzal make their way downstairs. Wide open room with stations set up, large equipment and machines that River and Quzal are unfamiliar with. There is some Alchemical equipment in the corner. A set of locked doors are on one wall. Quzal gets the lock open. River walks down the hallway through the doors, River walks for over half an hour. Quzal starts calling Steins name. One guard heads down stairs to get Quzal and River. The guard finds Quzal and asks if there were actually four of you.
Guards take Stein to the Quiet Moon while Meltrin heads down with Quzal to the basement to go find River. Meltrin drives down the hall for 10 minutes before coming across River running down the hall. Fifteen minutes after finding River Meltrin drives to a large area with a large plane inside it. The car has run out of gas, and Meltrin is looking to fill it back up at the pump-jack.
River finds a manual to the plane.
Meanwhile in the Quiet Moon
There's been a ton of activity in the Quiet Moon. Stein is brought in, everyones in one room. Cynthia is pissed with Belis for putting the town before his sister. River shakes Alynys and gets stopped by Sarah and Cynthia. Mael arrives with Abraxas, and Quzal fills them in on what happened. Meltrin points out the droid had something against magic and has been on this path for a long time. Sarah pipes up 1600 years. Quzal asks about the people in space.
A meeting is held in the room where those lay unconscious. Mael says that the Heist's and Fenequin's will be united with the council as much as possible to help put the city at ease.
The council thinks money will solve this issue. The Heist Organization will help and do what ever it takes to help get through this. Meltrin relieves a sniper. Quzal helps in the kitchen.
Hades has a moment with Harmony. He still hasn't recovered from his earlier break. Harmony offers to marry Hades, regardless of his parents beliefs. A note falls from the sky into the court yard from Forfall that Hades finds. "Consider this a little bit of free time. We'll talk when I can get back. Let the red and gold bastard know that his brother's fine and okay. I've taken the liberty to let them know what's going on. Consider this a peace offering."
River finds Magnus and asks him to marry her and Quzal. He agrees to do so the next morning.
Next day:
Town meeting is called, "The town needs to stay united. We will get through this together. Once everything is situated in town we will figure out the magic situation."
River and Quzal get married. Magnus officiates. Alynys lays unconscious holding flowers.
A couple days later:
David shares that a little over 8k have died from Nimubs. It will be grounded for some time. Tthe engineers are working on it with the addition of a few from New Lanass, so most are able to help with Alnerwick. Meltrin gets a new eye from David. Will need some work from New Lanass.
