Starweb Frontier
The Starweb Frontier is the outermost reaches of Starweb space. Civilization out here is very sparse, with only a tiny fraction of its systems connected by stargates and even smaller portion of those having significant habitation.
The Frontier is a place of mystery and more than a little danger. Go exploring, and you might stumble upon the ruins of a paleocivilization, find a lost world regressed to the medieval period, or fall victim to a replicator warship left over from the Great Patriotic Wars. Numerous colonies exist here, and the Star Patrol often finds itself stretched too thin to police or protect all of them.
It is often subdivided into regions corresponding to astrographic points of interest or historical political/cultural control, e.g. the Columbian Frontier, Celestial Union Frontier, and Imperial Frontier.
