Brampton is a city located on Queen Elizabeth's World, a planet in the Terran Core of Starweb space. It is notable for its various retailers which sell many unique types of antique-style firearms.
Located on the continent of South Hudson, Brampton is a fairly large city by the planet's standards, home to a human-majority population. It first grew populous during the Second Interstellar Period, and was rebuilt as part of the planet's restoration following the Age of Strife. Its buildings call to mind those of early-industrial Eng Land, as befits its historical origins, intermixed with more modern skyscraper and arcology designs. Located south of the equator, it offers a fairly good view of the planet's rocky rings, especially at night.
One of the main draws of Brampton is its firearms industry. Anyone who's anyone in the world of old-style guns does business in Brampton and has a shop there, and it is the source of many unique designs. While firearms are long since obsolete for military purposes, used only in the most absolute backwater kinds of places where available infrastructure cannot support Gauss guns, lasers, or drone swarms, they still enjoy a large following among enthusiasts and hunters. The latter are perhaps the most distinguished clientele in Brampton gun shops, where they obtain new weapons, ammunition, accessories, and get their existing guns serviced.
