The Shepherd
The Shepherd is a deity worshipped by many nomadic farmers, and tends to his herd in the realm of The Blooming Pastures.
Jestre (a.k.a. The Shepherd)
A bitter wind chills him to the bones as it blasts through his long, waxed-leather coat. The blooming pastures will soon be covered in a blanket of snow, and the arrival of frosts this morning were earlier than normal for this time of year. Harvestfest will be bitterly cold this year and his crops won't survive the sudden temperature drop.
The Shepherd needs more food for his growing flock to survive the winter. They have nearly eaten every daisy in sight. The bales are running out and he is even considering sacrificing his own food from his cottage garden to feed them instead of himself, but it won't be enough. It's too late to move the herd of nomeds at this time of year, they will use up too much energy walking so far away and there is no guarantee of there being enough food in the next valley over.
He will have to leave his realm once again and hope that he can bring back enough food for the herd's survival.
Physical Description
Facial Features
The Shepherd is a weather-worn fellow in his later years. Not frail but worn down from years of tending to his flock. His hairline recedes, revealing the angular, narrow features of his face. He has a thick tuft of beard which makes him look a little goat-like in appearance. Wrinkles are at the corners of his eyes and his skin is leathery and old after years spent outdoors.
Apparel & Accessories
Beneath his long waxed-leather coat, he wears a simple cotton shirt that is discoloured from years of washing and wearing, it's not obvious if it's supposed to be cream coloured or if it was once originally white. He also wears a dark brown herringbone waistcoat with the bottom button undone, and when he goes out into the cold he wears a thick woollen scarf that is draped around his shoulders which adds extra weight to his slender appearance.
