History
The Vartik Family are hailed descendants of the proud and decadent Lyseni people.
The expansion of Valyria into colonies in Myr meant that the demand for Myrish goods was at its highest as the Lysareon struggled to maintain its hold on the region. In a desperate attempt to create ties throughout Myr, several Myrish/Lyseni marriages were arranged, including the wedding of the Vartiks of Myr to that of the Lysareon family. With the creation of this tie came the opening of a brand new trade endeavor for the Vartiks within the thriving economic ecosystem that is the Valryian Freehold.
Never before had XX Vartik (nee Lysareon) seen such potential in the making of alliances, and with the death of her husband leaving her to fill the power vacuum of her house, and four children of marriageable age, the Vartik family finds itself in the position to make all needed moves to ascend to the top of the socio-political ladder.Notable Characters
