Mines of Calidus
The Mines of Calidus are a series of tunnels and caverns deep beneath the surface of Calidus Island. It is believed that these mines were constructed by an unknown civilization to extract precious gems from the earth. The gemstones found in this area are sought after for their beauty, but also because they have properties which make them useful in many ways. The most valuable mined gemstone is called "Calidite". This gemstone possesses both fire-inducing capabilities as well as being able to absorb heat energy released during combustion.
