“I want to believe you,” you say in a low tone, “but you’re guilty by association. I watched Gunther try to kill these people with my own eyes. You did nothing to stop him.”
“What could I have done?” he complains, “Look at me!”
Dorbane snorts, “Yeah…look at him.”
You glare at the Kutollum.
He shrugs, “I’m just saying.”
“Then what do we do with him?” asks Valda, “We can’t just let him go…”
You look around the camp. Then you look up.
“We hang him.”
“WHAT!?” shrieks the youth. “I’ve told you what I know!!”
You shrug yourself, “So you say.”
Grabbing him by the tabard, you lift him into a standing position.
“Valda, get some rope.”
“PLEASE!” he begs, dropping to his knees. “Take me back…turn me in! I’ll explain everything to the authorities—even admit I was a part of this! PLEASE,…don’t kill me!”
His breathing quickens, sweat trickling down his brow.
Dorbane growls and raises his axe, menacingly.
