You put up a good fight, but the odds are not in your favor.

“Shame,” he mutters, more to himself than to you, “could have used someone like you, with spirit.” He lifts a wine glass, taking a sip, then smiles. “But I can’t have my plans interrupted by a outsider…even if you are one of my own race.”
Four soldiers take you out by moonlight and beat you until you can barely stand. Just when you think it’s over, your heart stops.

Your body is left near the Evolu camp. You’re discovered by the Royal Guard the next morning, during the watch change. A scandal starts to which the elves have little to say in defense of themselves.
