Something about this whole situation bothers you deeply #59

There’s something that keeps bothering you, itching at the back of your mind. You decide to go for a walk, while everyone sleeps, to try and work this out.
The moon is out and the crickets are chirping in the night air.
You stroll deeper into the trees.
Why would anyone want to drug civilians and kidnap them? Why try to kill them? But what really bothers you is why involve a Kutollum in all this. If it ever got out that a Dwarf had killed humans on purpose….
That’s IT!
It’s only then, that you notice the crickets have…gone silent.
You never hear the footsteps. The rock hits you in the back of the head.
Your body falls heavily to the ground.
Hands roll you onto your back. In the scattered moon light, you can barely make out the blurry face of Filip.
He smiles.
“Thanks for letting me go,” he whispers. “My boss will be so happy to know that his plan is still in play.”

He straddles your chest, covers your mouth with one hand…and with the other, slides a long dagger between your ribs.
