Send Valda Back to Camp #61

“We can’t leave those innocent people alone, Valda,” you blurt out, eyeing the darkness.
“I’ll go back,” she says.
You give her a worried look.
“Oh, don’t,” she adds, “I’ll keep to the trees, just in case he comes back. Besides, I have to keep the skinny one in la-la land.” She smirks, “It’ll provide me a way to take out my hostilities.”
You open to give a retort, but she sprints off.
“And you wonder why I shiver so often,” mumbles Dorbane.
“Oh shut up.”


You both scout the areas around, but the trail goes cold.
You’re eventually forced to return to the camp…where you find the Gypsy sitting on a log, hovering over the young soldier—his body sprawled across the ground.

She looks up and grins boldly.
“What? He’s not dead. Promise.”
