Mystery Man #21

Without thinking, your foot shoots under the table and pins Dorbane’s leg.
He starts to growl at you, but you hold a finger to your lips. You nod to the booth behind you.
“What’s…” slurs Dagan, but Dorbane slaps a hand over the young Kutollum’s mouth.
“Watch what yer doing!” snaps the voice.
“Sorry,” says Corey, “I’ll get the wench…”
“No!” hisses the voice, “Didn’t you see the girl? It’s the same one you snatched, you idiot! Don’t you have eyes?!”
There’s a long pause and Valda snorts, rotating her face in her spittle. Yeah…it’s not a pretty sight.
“If that girls back, then those annoying interlopers might be around here too!” You hear a tapping noise, “That would be very bad for us…and Thornberry.”
“It’s ok, Julian, the Raywhen’s kid will be easy pickings. Those Evolu are too trusting. We’ll get him tied up and sedated, ready for tonight.”
“Then get out! There’s too much heat around here until this plan goes down—let’s get back to camp.”
