Leave for Westgaiden #43

“This is too much for me,” shutters Valda, “I don’t want to stick around anymore, war or no war.”
You can’t say you blame her. You feel the same way.
“What about you?” you ask Dorbane.
“There are other ways to serve.” With a heavy sigh, he shoulders his axe, “As for me, I’d like to find something other than the military.”
“Then that makes three,” you conclude. “I hear there are opportunities for those willing to venture the wild lands…and even openings for scouts.”
“Anywhere but here,” moans the Gypsy.
So off you venture, and for nearly a month, you work your way over to Westgaiden, the largest port in the country. You quickly find a job as guards for Jaris Ampleton, a rich spice merchant. The jobs are simple, you get to see the world from one of his many ships,…and the pay is excellent.
What more can a person want?
