(CAP-ni-var):

A tiny plant that grows among moss along cooler shores where the moist, salty wind in most constant. The most common harvesting place are the tiny reefs and islands off the Eastern Shores of Humär. The plant feeds off moss, its pale yellow roots reaching into the cracks of stone, while its tender green leaves collect salt and moisture from the wind.
Kapnivar only lives as long as the surrounding moss can sustain the plant. In the meantime, its center pod grows until a strong wind tears open the thin membrane, releasing hundreds of delicate seeds. These seed float upon the wind, hoping to land within the moist embrace of another moss growth where the whole cycle starts anew.
Kapnivar is a numbing agent if used by itself, though it is frequently eaten by small birds, the effect of which is increased energy and increased egg count.
Seeds that grow from the feces of birds turn a dark blue and is known as Kapnovar.
