You shift uncomfortably—the insults up until now make you wary of taking any credit. Better to seem humble. “We were just fortunate enough to get there before harm could be done to any of the hostages—especially Dagan, here.”
“Well we won’t have any more troubles from this moment forward. Dagan will be under supervision—if these rebells are seeking to gain access to me and mine, we’ll watch the Evolu around the clock.”
You frown. Then you look at Dorbane curiously.
“Captain,” interrupts Dorbane, “these were not Evolu. The men we fought were human. They wore the red and blue tabards of Andilain.”
