Fire Stones

One of the more commonly used magical items, especially among those who travel, 'fire stones' are two smooth stones roughly 2" in diameter. One black and one white, separated in a leather pouch, or box--though the stones can be safely transported so long as one of the stones is wrapped securely (or seperated) from the other.
Each stone has the symbol of 'burn' etched into them, and imbued with a small portion of life by a mägo.
The user has only to take the stones and place them under kindling. Upon touching one another, the stones radiate an intense heat, which quickly turns to magical flame. Once the fire has caught on, the stones should be separated from one another.
Leaving the stones in the fire recharges the stones, which should be left until the embers die out. The fire stones can then be removed one at a time without damage to the user.
