Fight Gunther #58

You hold your hands up in surrender.
Gunther smiles, pulling a long knife from his hip.
“D-don’t hurt me,” you plea, hands shaking.
Come closer, you moron. That’s it…clooooser.
As the soldier steps in range, you roll to the side, pushing off the ground with your hands. This gives you the momentum to kick him across the calves, knocking Gunther’s legs out from under him.
The knife goes flying through the air while the soldier lands squarely on his back. You hear the wind knocked from him with a loud OOOF!
Hopping to your feet, you notice Dorbane bolting into the light, axe swinging at the other guard. He lets out his Kutollum battle cry, piercing the night air.
This, however, get’s the attention of the soldier by the campfire! Oh no!
Kicking Gunther across the face in passing, you scoop up a tree branch from the ground and dash towards the fire.
He doesn’t notice me…come on legs, faster, blast you!
You push yourself forward. With a mighty swing, you strike the soldier across the jaw—knocking the helmet clean off his head, and rendering him unconscious. The body flips back over the long and onto the ground, face down.
You’re breathing hard, but you see Valda sprinting into the light, running towards you. Even in the dim light, you can see her eyes are wide with fear.
“Stop him!” she yells, pointing to the hostages.
You spin around.
Gunther is staggering towards the bodies, a sword drawn.
He’s going to kill them!
