The city of Port Silver is the capital of Rislain, a country on the southern coast of the continent of Ilyana beside the Endless Sea. It is the largest settlement in Rislain, home to almost half of the country's population, as well as the location of two out of seven royal palaces.

Construction

Port Silver is built in a series of concentric arcs; the older parts of the city are towards the centre as the city has expanded as the population has grown. Each district is surrounded by high walls, and citizens must pass through a series of gates to reach the centre.
The older buildings are constructed from stone and timber, whereas the newer areas are constructed mainly from carondine.
The oldest and most central semi-circle is the location of the oldest and biggest dockyard in Port Silver. It used to be the centre of trade for the city, though now all trade goes through the other two. The old dockyard is now primarily used for recieving diplomats and important guests from the rest of Ilyana.
The second oldest arc contains the oldest royal palace in Rislain, known as the Palace of Waves.
