Dak Doana

Intelligence Officer Dak Doana

A talented spell hacker and Runemage, Dak has proven an asset to Mordena Public Relations's informational security, alongside his wife, Allie. Very few outside Jake Lawrence's inner circle understand the full extent of his contributions, and he feels little need to change that fact. He enjoys allowing his wife to control the conversation, although he'll happily participate in discussions if engaged directly.

Lira made a face at Scout, folding her arms as she watched Dak work. His hands and fingers moved with a speed that suggested he knew his machine inside and out.   "So this can show if there are any problems with the data crystal?" she asked Scout, not wanting to distract the other man from his task.   "Yes!" Dak answered instead, grinning at Lira as he reached for the crystal. "Believe it or not, this little device mimics the ship. If there's anything malicious on this thing, I'll find it."   He slid the crystal into the dataport on the top and leaned back in his seat. "Now, we wait."
Dak is a skilled Runemage, with a talent for encryption and decryption, spellwork hacking, and rune security, not to mention malware protection, detection, and creation. While officially an Intelligence Officer with the Mordena Security Council, he works directly for Jake Lawrence and Mordena Public Relations to ensure the security of their communications and the accuracy of their information.   He often works with his wife, Allie Doana, verifying the source and security of her information prior to her analysis. Together, the Doanas have laid the foundation of the HMJ Ambition's diplomatic informational security operations.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Dak is a member of Navarch Jake Lawrence's inner circle, and an unofficial member of The List, having given up his official status upon his marriage to Allie. A common sight on the HMJ Ambition where he and Allie live and work, he is quick to engage in conversation if approached but rarely initiates with others himself, typically remaining buried in his work for the Mordena Security Council unless instructed otherwise by his wife.

Family Ties

Dak's wife, Allie Doana, holds his heart in the palm of her hand, and he wouldn't have it any other way. He is quite and unassuming, a notable contrast to his opinionated and boisterous wife, and a steady rock to support her seemingly flighty nature. Even before their marriage, Dak built his life around hers, and time has proven the lengths he'd willingly take to please her.   The feeling is quite openly mutual. Despite Allie's tendencies to seek other experiences, Dak has always remained her priority.
"She likes the thought of reminding you what you're missing," Dak chuckled before bending forward to meet his wife's lips with his own.   Jake reversed direction, kissing his way up Allie's neck before pulling away. "Are you sure it's not the reverse?" he smirked.   She broke away from Dak's kiss, gracing Jake with a grin of her own. "I do believe you're right." Redirecting her attention to Dak she kissed him again, tugging his bottom lip with her teeth. "It's always good to have reminders that Dak is the better lover."

It is. But all in good fun. She loves Dak. They're very good for each other.
