Judge Rank/Title in Urskoga | World Anvil

Judge

Mom wants me to become a judge...I don't know. I don't like desk work.
— A young mediator to another.
The Mediators work in pairs and are judge, jury and executioners in their own cases. However, in some cases they might have to get input from others. This is when they can go to a mediator with this title to get help with sentencing in their specific case.

QUALIFICATIONS

To get this title the mediator will first have to have worked as a mediator for at least 5 years. Then the mediator will have to study for another 2 years and pass an exam for the title. After this they will have desk work at a HQ.

DUTIES

The Judges do desk work and help other mediator decide what to do in their specific cases. They also do research and in some HQs they are also the ones who do payroll and schedules. But this is usually only at the smaller HQs. To become a director of a HQ the mediator has to have this title as well.

BENEFITS

Better salary and more vacation days than regular mediators. Some mediators don't like this since they are the ones out in the lime light. They think they deserve this over those who work behind a desk.

Title holders

Currently there are around 103 around the world with this title. Not all of them are currently working a desk job. Wynn Drake holds this title but he is currently only partly working behind a desk. He has moved to Urskoga from the UK.

REMOVAL OR DISMISSAL

This title can only be lost if the mediator has been convicted of a crime. It doesn't matter if the crime is petty or not. A crime is a crime and mediators should not commit them. Especially not those with this title.
