Estuan Skking
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
The Estuan Skking is an even-toed ungulate native to the Begutulga Valley. It is the smallest known species in the Skkingae family, and the only known skking to exhibit predatory behavior. They generally prefer hunting prey, though like all skkings, they are omnivores.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The increased number of cervical vertebrae supports an elaborate chain of neck and jaw muscles, giving the Estuan skking a powerful bite of nearly 1,400 PSI. Estuan skkings usually use this bite to shatter bones, most commonly going for the femur, immobilizing their prey while also causing a severe internal bleeding. After breaking a bone, skkings would retreat and stalk the injured animal from a safe distance, either keeping line of sight or using their superb sense of smell to track it down later.
Estuan skkings have an anatomical flaw in their tibia, and broken legs would more often than not completely stop bloodflow to the limb and result in a rapid onset of necrosis.
