Los'Mozakas

Trapped, lost, alone. These were the emotions left to him as he stared at the overwhelming jungle that surrounded him by all sides. The sounds of rain pattering away at the canopy above muffling the sounds of the many creatures he knew lurked around him. He knew now why the locals called this land the Verdant Abyss, for it had swallowed him whole as it had the countless before him.
— Hedman Ortu, Journey to Los’Mozakas

LMStrip

Spanning a distance equal to that of a small continent the jungle of Los’Mozakas, also known as the Verdant Abyss, is the remnant of a civilization long eroded from the pages of time. It is told by the Rootspeakers of the Zakati that the land now overgrown by these ancient trees, vines, and roots was once a great mountain range that was slowly carved into the ruins you see now overgrown with life. The civilization that sculpted the very mountains to their benefit also had mastered many forms of Druidry that allowed them to grow food even where it normally could not.   What happened to this civilization the roots do not say, for it was before even they were grown, but the Druidric magics that was inlaid into the very foundation of their civilization was not so easily erased as its foolish creators. Left unchecked it warped the land around the mountains to grow life where there was once only stone, creating the great jungle of Los’Mozakas.   Now a realm of savagery the mountain that once was called home by man is now dominated by lizard-like creatures of all sizes that thrive within the heat and moisture of the jungle. With trees so vast they tower over even mountains the beasts within Los’Mozakas was able to grow to immense proportions, sustaining themselves off both the flora and the magic that pulsed through the land. Despite the trees absorbing a great deal of radiant Ichor it is still rare to see anyone, even Wastewalkers, traveling outside the bastion of the Zakati, known as Los'Makal, the Bastion of Scales, small groups of a Druidic order known as the Zal'gan, the Verdant Watchers, wander these wastes to learn the magic held deep within the archaic ruins that lay hidden within the landscape.
