World Credits in The Mortal Lands | World Anvil

World Credits

As this World expands and grows, the people I want to thank and give credit for continues to grow! Naturally, this would make for a very long and confusing footer if I tried to credit everyone there, and I am not organized enough to have unique credits for every article. So to stave off the insanity, I shall have a 'World Credits' that covers everything outside of the bare essentials.

The World, Characters and Stories of the Mortal Lands is Property of me, Rachel Bentz, and held under [X] Copyright. I do NOT give permission for my works to be scraped for AI generation and ChatGPT use.

Art Credits

Design for the World Header was Created by my sister, code name Siberia. The design was digitized and edited by me, Rachel, and added to a background image.   All Art currently used in the Mortal Lands has been created by Me, Rachel, through the use of tools like ArtBreeder for character profiles and GIMP filters on photos I have taken in my travels for internal art and article headers. Any art not created by me is explicty noted on the work itself.   The Art Deco borders used throughout much of the world were created by tartila on Freepik! Thank you so much, your resources are amazing!

Consulting Credits

Consulting on Train travel, routes, locomotives used and anything involving the word 'Train' is done by my brother, code name Bandan.   Credit also goes to my local pastor, who has and will probably continue to field my many 'okay, but hear me out' questions regarding minutae of the faith.

CSS Credits

Hoo boy, where do I begin?   Anything, and I mean ANYTHING remotely related to spoilers was learned and/or purchased from Stormbril. As of right now it's just the tab-spoilers on the World Primer and the Story Categories, but I want to get scrolly spoilers and perhaps even the locks in the future. Go check out his CSS-Add on Shop If you want some custom Spoilers of your own.   I also borrowed little bits and pieces from EmilyArmstrong's CulinaryPunk Primer, mostly in relation to making containers 'pop' and learning about the next bit.   nnie's Article block 'stamp' is quite in yet in use on my world, but I'm mentioning it here because I want to use it at some point.   Kitoypoy has amazing 'dialogue' boxes represented by two characters in his world; I borrowed this trick to put 'icons' on top of containers, quotes and spoilers. You can see an example of it on his World Primer.   There's also amazing people like Hanhula in WA's discord channel who have helped me and many others pick apart what exactly in our CSS is breaking.   And last but not least.... Janet and Dimitris of WorldAnvil, the site I host this fantastic resource on! I don't link this directly on the pages themselves because I do have young readers here, and some other worlds hosted by WA are not appropriate for those ages. I am still working on finding a balance between giving these wonderful folks all the credit and attention they deserve, and not sending my young readers down a rabbit-hole they are not ready for. Hopefully with the API functionality being introduced, I can find that middle ground...   Where did the save button gooooo!?
