Aleyara is the mother of all dragons, and the first gold dragon to have existed. There are some opposing theories as to how she became a dragon in the first place, the truth known only to her children and a select few. While not technically falling under any of the categories of deities, Aleyara is still worshipped similarly to a god - a fact that some of the Core Deities don't particularly like.

Dual Forms

Aleyara has two forms: that of her dragon form, and of her humanoid form. She can switch between these forms freely, allowing her to take on different roles at different points. Her human form is a dark-skinned woman with black hair and golden eyes, with a soft glow to them that is near-imperceptible. She wears golden clothing and jewellery (she is known for being subtle).

In her dragon form, she the largest of her kin. Towering above monuments, dwarfing cities, it is clear to see why she does not take this form as often. When she is in this form, it is likely that she is travelling through the astral or celestial plane, both spaces with large enough areas for her to freely move and fly.

Divine Domains

Aleyara's domain is considered to be dragons and the elements. Elemental mages, or those specialising in elemental magic, often look to her for guidance - though it is rare that she responds. In more recent years she has become much more reclusive, even more so than is normal for her.

Artifacts

Aleyara allegedly still keeps her original spellbook, from when she was a mortal confined within the material plane. These spellbooks undoubtedly hold many magical secrets, unknown to all others. Her identity as the sole individual capable of magic without channeling it through the gods before the creaton of the Weave has no doubt enlightened her to a great many secrets, a wealth of knowledge unique to her own hoard.
Hey, wait a minute. Has this author not heard of me? Are my feats not common knowledge on the material plane? I was the first to do that! This isn't fair.

I apologise, I'm not quite sure when or how Yxjun found this document. I suppose he is correct, so I shall allow this note to remain, despite his tone.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Aleyara's symbol is that of the face of a gold dragon with ten eyes. On the left side of the symbol (or the right side of the face) are the five chromatic colours: red, blue, green, white, and black. On the right side of the symbol (the left side of the face) are the five metallic colours: gold, silver, bronze, brass, and copper.
The colour gold is a major symbol of Aleyara, especially when formed into scales. Another symbol known to have been used for her is a circle divided into ten equal portions, each depicting a different colour of chromatic and metallic dragons. The typical order for these is gold, silver, red, bronze, blue, brass, copper, black, green, white. This is thought to be the birth order of Aleyara's direct children, excluding Grandar.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Aleyara does not particularly care for non-draconic species. She is moral and can be considered a good person, when interacting with dragons - but outside of that, she is generally uninterested with people, prayers, churches, or cultists. She is somewhat biased towards her own children, and to a lesser extent her grandchildren. However, as there are a great many dragons that now exist in the world, she holds the two oldest generations beyond her in much higher standing than the rest of the dragons in the world.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

According the some of the more trustworthy sources, Aleyara was once one of very few mages that existed in the world at the time of her mortal life. She was an alchemist of sorts, and drew power from the elemental planes. She (allegedly) wanted to find a way to become immortal - and did so by taking part of the elemental plane of fire into her soul. This changed her form, and was beginning to hurt her, so she encased herself in a shell made partially from the elemental plane of earth. This solidified, becoming her scales and protecting her.
She was now much more and much different than a mortal. She was the first of her kind, a dragon. And she would go on to be the dawn of a new species, one of the first not created by a deity.

Intellectual Characteristics

Aleyara is very intelligent, especially to have entirely tranformed herself before magic was widely accessible. She is observant as well, and while she does not always do well in social interactions, she is able to notice subtle changes in speech or behaviour. However, she is primarily familiar with interaction with draconic species, rather than humanoids - so she can act somewhat strangely when in her human form.

Family Tree

The worship of Aleyara is certainly an interesting phenomenon. Out of all of the gods of our world, she is one entirely uninterested in anything to do with non-draconic species, and yet her humanoid followers outnumber those of Itya. Truly, something bizarre.
Anna Viella, on the human worship of draconids
I'm not sure who the "Itya" this quote referrs to is. Still, I had a reason for including it... at some point.

Notes from Saibra
Aleyara is one of the few who has managed to retain her standing as well-known and worshipped, despite not being a Core Deities, during the reversal of the Divine Switch. This could be due to her closeness to her kin - or, it could be due to her ties to the elemental planes.

She sounds like a very interesting deity. I like the note that she is biased towards her children and (sorta) her grandchildren. I enjoy the other added notes too. That's always fun. :D
