Kellium's Firstborn Gift

Overview

Many have pondered the inherant advantage that each firstborn receives at birth on Mernac. For many, the additional skills and abilities given to those born first in their family has been the difference between life and death. The gift to those that are Firstborn is of Fae origin it has been told. And as in the way of Fae's, the "Firstborn" is based on the childs maternal herritage, not the father's, as is seen so often in laws followed by the Race of Man and the other less cultured Races. The boon was created, long before the advent of the Race of Man. The advantages it provides in combat, and life itself are extrodinary have come to be known as Kellium's Gift, named after the mythical Dragon who was firstborn of any speaking creature. It is told by the scribes and sages that know of such thing, it was the Fae, Sara Dragonmist, First Scribe to the Mother Kanola who concocted the spell.
