Attempts to harness the life-force of the World Sea result in a poison which spreads like a tide across the globe, an event which changes Juiblex forever. To preserve life on the planet, survivors of the Tide contrive a device which will burn the poison out with the power of the Sun; again, their understanding of magic is imperfect, and their efforts destroy all civilization. Half of the world begins to rotate in the opposite direction than the other, splitting the planet in half as Chthon becomes Navia's dark twin. Juiblex escapes to the Abyss. The Blue Age ends.
