A Brief History of Tellurica
In the corner of the multiverse occupied by the Runelands, nine planets orbit an angry little star called Helios. From closest to furthest, these worlds are: Proxima, Athas, Eberron, Tellurica, Ravnica, Jove, Anvuna, Nakora, and Iavo(1.). Of these, five support indigneous life, three are elemental giants, and one is a construct of planetary proportions.
Tellurica is one of the five planets in Solus' habitable zone. Its history divides into the following broad periods of time. (2.)The Green Age
TL;DR: Life evolves societies, and with them, religions. With religions come gods, who learn to Dream. The Red Age
TL;DR: An era of conflict and growth which saw many pivotal moments in history. A time of Heroes. The Dark Age
TL;DR: An era of slow corruption and strife, where edifices established in the previous Age crumble and decay. Culminates in the Crusades. The Golden Age
TL;DR: Saved from slavery to the gods, Mortality rebuilds a bold new Age in its own image. The Thaumonuclear Age
TL;DR: With no more need of gods, mortality also outgrows its need for kings and leaves home to become part of the larger Runeverse.1. In the 40 years I've been making up stories to amuse my friends at the RPG table, I've consumed a hell of a lot of published material in search of inspiration for my own stories. If a few of those names seem familiar to you, it's because I wear my influences proudly on my sleeve. Dragonmarks happen on Tellurica because Eberron exists nearby. Tellurica's Quoran Riverfolk are called Ghostwise Halflings on Eberron, and Halflings on Athas.
