Shieldwood

The Shieldwood is an old-growth forest along Hyperborea's west coast. It is bordered on the north by the River Wisidivescor, on the west by the Dyscrasic Ocean, in the south by the Starfall Prairie, and in the East by the basin of the Great Hydra River.
Shieldwood is home to Hyperborea's greatest diversity of plant and animal life, and home to its largest concentration of Ents. For this reason, the forest has avoided colonization and exploitation except at its most extreme edges; within the confines of the forest proper, you will find no infrastructure apart from the excellent system of roads and campsites which the Ents of the wood have prepared for passers-through.
