Organic artificer

In Sanguin, artificers may work independently to tinker on and study existing technology left behind from the Old World, or develop their own supplies for trade, or personal use. Artificers may also be hired alongside a raider party, to share knowledge on what materials discovered in the expedition are worth carrying back and quickly develop tools out of on hand materials to resolve situations. Organic artificers are often undervalued for their specialism, to interact with plants, creatures and the Unknown with on-hand engineering tools and experience. Organic artificers can pacify creatures and plants that may be guarding the The Deep Hollow, allowing a party to sneak through at a time of their choosing, instead of braving it through the mist or other unpredictable weather.

Qualifications

As is the culture with most Sanguin Tribes, word of mouth and personal recommendations serve as the best proof of ability. Much of the work performed by an organic artificer is misunderstood and underappreciated, though raider parties prefer to hire one than not.

Organic artificers can pass down their knowledge to those they see as worthy. It may depend on their tribe on how they select their students.

Payment & Reimbursement

There is no currency in Sanguin, but an organic artificer may receive good materials for their trade. Very few organic artificers could seek to sell their knowledge outside of Sanguin, but first they would have to make it to the coastline, then they would need to find an outsider who had a desire for such knowledge.

Organic artificers rely on capable raiders to keep them safe during an expedition, as their tools may weigh them down and prevent quick escapes.
