Joshua
Joshua is a fifteen year old expedition guide to one of the most dangerous places on Gaia, the local ruins of Sanguin. He is an expert at detecting and avoiding traps, navigating the sands and sudden storms across the pits and canyons of the hellish land. He also has an extraordinary eye for value, and can estimate the worth of artefacts, scrap metal and Old World devices he finds in a heartbeat. Joshua combines his scavenger hunt with providing tours to naïve outsiders who wish to explore the ruins.
In the spin off visual novel, Sand, you play as Joshua and must make important decisions to decide how much money you earn at which cast to the party you lead through the Elliot Canyon.
Joshua has a younger sister who is a Magi. Joshua's expeditions help fund essential supplies for his sister and himself, as well as medicine. The pair are infected with one of the many diseases common in Sanguin. While Joshua's only hope is to slow down the progress of his disease, enough medicine may cure his sister for good.
