Blue Mark
Affected individuals are also called Bearers of Blue.
This Mark is associated with The Stranger of Truth: Metia.
Symptoms
The mark of decay and the draining touch. This Mark allows a person to drain the stamina and life of a living thing they touch. It is not like the siphon branch of magic, which can be resisted, it does not require energy expenditure or any special tools. It merely needs a bare touch (and not even that, at greater levels of activation) to activate, and the drain accelerates the longer the grip is maintained.
The downside is that the siphon induces a feeling comparable to hunger or desire in the user both during and after use. The siphon power subsequently reduces a person’s awareness. They act on impulse, but a different impulse than the Red Mark. They appear almost unfeeling while they are in this state. They will be driven to “acquire”. In a Seeker, this normally means the spoils of combat. Their curiosity is also stirred up. A person would also need to struggle to resist taking more than their share when fighting as a group. This downside is exacerbated the longer a person has activated their power.
If the user is wounded, it is more likely that they will be forced into activating the power.
The hair of a Bearer of Blue takes on a pale blue discoloration after puberty. Many people dye their hair to prevent this from being noticeable. This color is only found in people with the Blue Mark, so it is very noticeable.

History
The Shaden believe the Blue Mark is linked to the Stranger of Truth, Metia.
Contrary to popular belief, a Blue Marked person will not desire to kill their friends and family. The desire to murder must already be there. But rumors of cases where the rare serial murderer was revealed to have the Blue Mark stir up prejudices.
Cultural Reception
Those bearing the Mark of Blue are tainted by the influence of Metia, infused with unholy compulsions.
Some believe that a Bearer of Blue can even steal truth from others, but it is not known where this rumor started or even what behavior it refers to. The closest interpretation is that when a Marked siphons the energy of another, that energy is imprinted with their target’s “truth”, and the profane Mark of Blue allows them to interpret this energy imprint and claim this undeserved truth.
Bearers of Blue must work even harder to pray to Nosk for purity. They must also remember the sacrifices made by Furle as he mediates the Hexaline Covenant, never surrendering to the greed that is so destructive to both the self and the other.
