Calendar of Nonvyrox
A Nonvyroxan year lasts 276 days over the course of 12 months. Each day is around 24 hours in length and there are 8 days in a week. These days of the week are named Chylowan, Milawa, Fornawan, Tivawan, Lavnawan, Iodwan, Glaivwan, Ovilwan. Often Iodwan, Glaivwan, and Ovilwan are considered the weekend to most people of Nonvyrox.
The calendar was established by a group of scholars in an ancient age, and the names of the days and months have survived through changing languages. The most commonly used calendar counts the years starting with 0 AR (Age of Restoration)

Seasons
There are four main seasons in Nonvyrox, the exact date at which each changes can vary with the year, but is often based on the movements of the moons and sun. This leads to a set of seasons that are at different times in the Northern Hemisphere (Vilura, Heimter, and Ossalimar) and the Southern Hemisphere (Fieldas, Kyradon, and The Moon Shards). As a result, this section will be split into two sections. The first will focus on the Northern Hemisphere and the second on the Southern Hemisphere.Northern Hemisphere
- Spring begins in the month of Chyva. Usually the season starts with the day of Elvenfier on the 20th. Spring lasts for 72 days.
- Summer occurs in the middle of the calendar, beginning usually on the 23rd of Wuveli, aligning with Midpoint. It lasts for 60 days and is the shortest season.
- Autumn usually begins in the middle of Syndaro. Typically it starts on the 14th to align with Justice’s Dawn. Autumn lasts for 70 days
- Winter begins with the festival of Frostbloom on the 15th of Tuk'lu. It is the longest season at 74 days.
Southern Hemisphere
- Spring usually begins in the beginning of Wyvu. Typically it starts on the 1st to align with the Festival of Duality. Autumn lasts for 69 days
- Summer begins with the festival of New Dusk on the 23rd of Tuk'lu. It lasts for 81 days and is the longest season.
- Autumn typically begins in the month of Noi'vi. Usually the season starts with the day of The Penthos Mire on the 12th. Spring lasts for 75 days.
- Winter occurs during the middle of Uvali'o. It usually aligns with Regephora's Feast around the 18th. Winter lasts for 51 days and is the shortest season.
Annual Events
There are a number of events that happen continuously around the world that align with different dates in the calendar. This has lead to many different festivities and celebrations that are worshiped around the world each year. Many of them are holy days of a specific god. This section will list some of the more prominent events in the Kyran Calendar. If a festival is primarily celebrated in a specific region of the world it will be listen alongside it.
The Renewal
1st Chyva, Holy Day of ThouraA day of silent reflection and knowledge gathering, The Renewal is often celebrated privately at ones home, giving each person a chance to reflect more on their own personal knowledge. In Sovmora a collection of secrets written on paper are thrown into a large fire, releasing the knowledge into the worlds.
Day of High Seas
7th Ouvia, Holy Day of AkorvisThe Day of High Seas is celebrated most raucously in Port Zan, a festival known as the Festival of the Ocean gathers many sailors together each and every year, the traditional Sailor’s Call occurs in which several sailors are tested to become the Oceanmaster for the day, a champion for the temple of Akorvis in Port Zan.
Elvenfier (Elven Dawn)
20th Chyva, Holy Day of YldrivonThis day coincides with the first appearance of elves on the mortal realm. On this day, elves around the world are known to send a prayer of thanks to the Fae Hand and some, who are able, open doorways to the Fae Lands and drink more alcohol than one might usually during a common day.
Everbloom Night
23rd Chyva, Holy Day of MandraDuring Everbloom Night many circles of druids and other followers of Mandra release blossoming and glowing flowers, called Everblooms, into the night sky. The light is said to be seen all over the different continents as the flowers rise into the sky.
The Penthos Mire
12th Noi'vi, Holy Day of BoldirA day of family, The Penthos Mire celebrates the hope and compassion that is shared by family members. Most people celebrate it by gathering as many members of their gamily together and have a large meal to celebrate together. This meal, known as the Penthoslia, is a time where families can celebrate those around them, and share stories of their love.
Midsun
16th Olind'i, Holy Day of DjanrolOn this day many places choose to have competitions allowing for crafters of all skills and varieties to bring forth a creation to the public. However, in the Ossalimarian Empire, the day is used as a demonstration of their military strength, believing that in their war with the Dolvalyn Sovereignty, their advantage is held by their power.
Day of Challenge
3rd Wuveli, Holy Day of the Red StormThis is a holiday celebrated in the Ossalimarian Empire, created by the Emperor Hallister Ossalimar who was focused on the military strength of the empire. On the Day of Challenge, many different warriors gather in the various cities that worship the Red Storm to garner favor with the local lords through competition.
Midpoint
23rd Wuveli, Holy Day of ShatholMidpoint is supposed to represent the balance of the year and the turning point from which the year starts to get colder again. Followers of Shathol often help cause neutrality during this day, providing balanced arguments to two sets of conflicting people.
Night of Rest
1st Uvali’o, Holy Day of CorvinaIn most of Ossalimar, the Night of Rest is a holy day to Corvina. On this day, many of the continental residents gather and hold vigils and create shrines to remember those who have passed. In doing so, its a celebration of their lives, but also of their passing, ensuring that they are remembered in whichever afterlife they ended up in.
Regephora's Feast
18th Uvali’o, Holy Day of the ThervaSimilar in a fashion to the Day of Challenge, Regephora's Feast is a celebration of the goddess Therva and her devotion to strategy and battle. Many soldiers gather in fighting pits to prove their capabilities in the world. There are several major contests, none bigger than in Sovmora, where a mass of followers of Therva gather each year to prove their might in a large set of war games.
Starlight Festival
9th Nyvano, Holy Day of Lyr'ianA recurring night of brilliance in the sky, the Starlight Festival originated in the Aonis Wilds, The festival has people gather outside in communion with the constellations that appeared in the stars. It is common now for collectives of people to look into the sky at the night whilst sharing some food and wishes for the future, allowing people a sliver of hope for their upcoming future.
Justice's Dawn
14th Syndaro, Holy Day of TyrilMany of the various civilizations around the world feast as an honour for the many leaders of their region, particularly in thanks for the relative peace they reside in. Despite this, the Ossalimarian Empire and Xhen-dra use this day as a chance to enlist more soldiers into their armies. In opposition to this, usually the Hands of Tyril stop all possible enlisting on this day, taking it as a day of relative rest.
Festival of Duality
1st to 7th Wyvu, Holy Festival of the Dual IdolsDespite its length, the Festival of Duality is celebrated most fervently by people outside of major cities. These days are each dedicated to one of the seven Dual Idols, though all are celebrated across the seven days. The Dolvalyn Sovereignty use this as a time of intense meditation on the power of their dreams. Taking any nightmares had as portents of a dark future. The Four Families use this as a time to celebrate the lives around them and to commemorate the passing of the dead. Other groups linked with the different Dual Idols have found their own ways to celebrate their existence.
Frostbloom
14th Tuk'lu, Winter Solstice CelebrationThere are many ways to bring in the season of winter around the realm. Vilura and Heimter are known to co-ordinate in a lavish gift giving event which has a strong link to the idea of family. During the early days of the Age of Restoration, many of the lands in Heimter were under attack by a powerful curse of Ice that covered most of the continent. After it was cleared, the people celebrated the Winter Solstice with a celebration of joy. Often town squares can be filled with a decorated tree and an air of music can be heard at all times. With the strong links between the realms, Frostbloom started to spread with many different countries celebrating it on the longest day of the year.
New Dusk
23rd Shovenu, End of the Year, Holy Day of UvalianA celebration of the end of the calendar, New Dusk is celebrated in different ways across the realm. Smaller settlements in Vilura gather together in their communities to feat, Tribes of Drakin in the Aonis Wilds are known to channel elemental energies into a ritual and create beautiful spectacles. In the Daunka Province, a festival of games and performances take place within Ulvrahill for citizens to watch and bring in the new year with joy. Most people at some point, make a small thanks to Uvalian, in hopes that it will bring them good luck through the coming year.

Day of Darkness
Once every 5 years, Thinning of the PlanesFor as long as recorded history, this time of year is always accompanied by a collection of powerful creatures from various Inner Planes attempting to invade the realm. However, there are many times that this doesn't occur due to the locations of thinning across the realms not aligning. However, despite this the realm is beset by a darkness that crawls over from Shadecrest. As a result, during night on the Day of Darkness, the entire realm is plunged into an almost magical darkness. Both of the moons are hidden at night despite their phases. Many cultures have magical or martial protection for this night, protecting them in the event of an incursion. Typically the Day of Darkness occurs on the 23rd of
Day of the High Moon
Day following the Day of Darkness, Holy Day of MarvinaIn opposition to the Day of Darkness, the Day of High Moon has the moon Telesia at its brightest, with a full moon occurring regardless of the different phases of the moon. As a result, the night time is bathed in a light of silver that lays across the realm. Often those who have been granted a fragment of divine power by Marvina find themselves really busy during this day, many of them being asked to help with medical concerns of various mothers around the realm. During this night, as before the planes are much thinner, with entities from all the different Inner Realms able to enter the planes more easily. However, unlike the Day of Darkness, its much easier for people to prevent these incursions.
Celestial Radiance
Some Full Moons of Telesia and CauldiusOccuring on a random cycle throughout the years, the Celestial Radiance, is an event in which the two moons are both visible in the sky throughout the day. In a cycle of every 250 years, the magic of the moons allow the leylines of the world to briefly become visible. One of the last times this event took place was 703 AR. On this day it was primarily just the two moons in the sky. At this time, the event was used as a sign to the Ossalimarian Empire that the currently being discussed Shrouded War was the right move for the nation, The next time the leylines are said to be in the sky is during 755 AR.
