Sharpest of Pain: A Fruit Merchant's Tale
She felt a sharp pain, to the left of her ear;
but she carried on, to the market stall
She felt a sharp pain, to the left of her eye;
I'm getting older, she thought, after all
and when she took coin, to the left of her groin
sharp pain overwhelmed her, making her fall
then sharp pains to her back would make her world black;
choking in pain, should could no longer call
and that is all.
