(sur cuh'-lehn), , is an undead servant of Sarilis at the Ley Tower. Cullen appears to have been a Paxian man with dirty blond hair and blue eyes, and in his late twenties when he died. The black stitching across his windpipe suggests his cause of death, though the evidence for the most likely identity of the murderer or murderers is circumstantial.
Background
Compared to the other skeletal and rotting sentinels guarding Sarilis, Cullen is the only undead servant with enough flesh to be recognizable to any who might have known him in life. He is also the only one provided a weapon: a naked sword tied at his belt to come loose with a tug. This offers a suggestion that he might "remember" how to use it and perhaps had once been a guard or mercenary by trade.
Current
Any observer may generalize that there is a visible progression of rot among the undead at Sarilis's Tower. There is also a point, witnessed by Tamuril, when the servants eventually fall apart, and little is done to repair or maintain them. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that "Sir" Cullen was the most recent death near the Ley Tower whose corpse was made to walk again.
It is unclear whether the title of "Sir" had any actual meaning in life or Sarilis merely indulges in black humor.
